For Akron Public Schools Families
Posted on 08/13/2020
Five locations of the Akron Area YMCA will offer Virtual Learning Days for children entering grades K-5. Beginning September 8, students enrolled in this program will engage in socially-distanced programming that includes time for them to participate in the online curriculum provided by their APS teachers. Parents can enroll their children for the five-day/week, full-time sessions immediately; but space is limited. All students must wear a mask and bring their Chromebooks, charger and class assignments each day. Lunch and snacks will be provided. The cost is $170 per week/per child for members of the Akron Area YMCA; the non-member cost is $190 per week/per child. Scholarships are available, and publically funded childcare is accepted. Interested families should contact a participating Akron Area YMCA for registration and other details.
