Akron Zoo's Holiday Lighting Event

zooWild Lights at the Akron Zoo returns for its fourth year on November 29-30, December 1, 6-8, 13-15, 20-22 and 26-30 from 5-9 p.m. Presented by Akron Children's Hospital, Wild Lights will feature the entire zoo decorated with holiday lights and lighted displays. The Landon and Cynthia Knight Pride of Africa will also be decked out in lights, including lighted displays of African animals. The event also includes fun entertainment, delicious snacks, costume characters in meet-and-greets every day from 6-8 p.m., Santa Claus every day through December 22, from 5-9 p.m., carolers and ice carvers. The Akron Zoo's food truck, Panda Treats, will be open and serving fresh donuts, s'mores to roast, drinks and other treats; and the Komodo Kingdom Café will have a special holiday menu. For exclusive time with Santa, a Cookies With Claus add-on is available for $5/person every Saturday and Sunday through December 22 from 3:30-5 p.m. Cookies With Claus participants can enter the zoo early to have cookies and hot beverages with Santa before the zoo opens at 5 p.m. Tickets are now on sale at akronzoo.org or at the Akron Zoo's box office. Early bird tickets (purchased by November 29) are $9/member adults, $6/member children, $13 for non-member adults and $9/non-member children. After November 29, tickets will be $12/member adults, $9/member children, $16/non-member adults and $12/non-member children. Children under two years old are free; the parking/shuttle fee is $3.
